Living a Complete life

i

This is a week of Love. Let this week be a week of doing the work of our Lord Jesus Christ [winning more souls for Jesus] by preaching the gospel all around us, distributing tracts and some publications in our area.

Ref: Act Ten

The only way we can know what a complete life means is by digging into the word of God. Let us see the life of Brother Cornelius as the scriptures reveal to us.
Cornelius was a religious man and someone who feared God. He was a godly man. He prayed regularly to God. He gave generously to charity, this is commendable. Not did he worship God only; he made his household to fear and worship God of heaven and the earth.
On human line, one can easily say that nothing is needed in the life of Cornelius. In term of wealth, he was not poor but comfortable enough to take care of himself and his family’s needs, and had extra to give to the needy ones generously. We can say he was rich.

There are two things we can deduce from the life of Cornelius from the scripture;

a] Cornelius feared God; God does not play with people who fear and love HIM.

b] Cornelius was a giver; He was a giver and good to friends and relatives and to the nations of Jews; Giving is part of the natures of God.

With all the above qualities in the Life of Cornelius, God still saw a vacuum that needed filling in Cornelius’s life. God had to send His Angel to Cornelius:

As it is written in the book of Acts chapter 10 verse 3 to 6 “About the ninth hour of the day [he] Cornelius saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, "Cornelius!"  And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, lord?" So he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.  Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do." Also in Acts chapter 11 verse 14 “who [Peter] will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.' NKJV

We can see from the above scripture, that despite all the good works of Cornelius and his household they were not yet saved in the sight of God, the creator of Heaven and earth. They were still living incomplete life.

Then what is it that is missing?

That something was so important to God and mankind that God had to set up divine arrangement, comprising of His Angel and His servant Peter to deliver it to Cornelius and his household. God is doing the same thing now, sending His servants all over the world to unsaved souls, so that, they can receive what He has for them to be saved and be able to live a complete life. In the Old Testament, before the coming of the savior of mankind, it was possible to live a godly life please God and make Heaven. But now, let us see what God wants, and see how Cornelius received what was missing in his life and how he was saved.

Cornelius sent his servants to Peter; Peter and his companions came and started to preach 'JESUS CHRIST, son of the living God for this was all that Cornelius and his household needed to live a complete life and be saved'

In the book of Acts chapter 10 from verse 36, Peter preached thus; “The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ — He is Lord of all..... And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree.

Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.  And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He [Jesus Christ] who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.
To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins." NKJV

You can see clearly, from the words of God above, that it is impossible to live on this Earth and make Heaven without Jesus.

The savior Himself confirmed it in John 14:6, He says

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”
Children be happy, your future is great.

Brothers and sisters you have a living Hope. This message does not come to you by chance; it is by divine arrangement of God almighty for you, to live a complete life on earth and for you to make heaven. Complete life means, a life in which Jesus Christ is in you and you are in Christ Jesus.
If you have been living as though Jesus Christ is not all that important in your life, God wants you to change. Or you have not accepted Him into your life as your lord and personal savior. Then something is missing, there is a great vacuum that God wants you to fill for you to have a right standing with Him.
It is simple to set things right with God through Christ, for it is written
"The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the [your] mouth confession is made unto salvation, Rom chapter 10 verse 8-10
I want you to accept Jesus into your Life, have a glorious life that God Almighty has for you and is pleased with. Please say the followimg prayer; Father in the name of Jesus, I come before you now. forgive me all my sins, cleanse me with the blood of Jesus. Jesus, come into my life and be the Lord of my life in Jesus name. Amen.

You have taken a great decision in your life, study the word of God regularly. May the lord almighty keep you standing in Jesus name Amen.
